THE PERCH, ATX - Floating above a bungalow in East Austin, The Perch is a 660-square-foot addition by architect Nicole Blair. This cantilevered studio and guest space were designed with a cozy, comforting feel while maximizing efficiency. The minimalist interior is warm and inviting. The walls and ceiling are covered in white-washed pine planks, with all other interior features the perfect shade of pink.

We worked closely with Nicole to create a custom finish for the salvaged White Oak floors. Along with the floors, we built custom White Oak stairs in place. Our team sourced the hardwoods for this addition from projects all over the city - installing remnants in a way we’d never imagined.

The entire project was sanded and finished by hand after installation using Bona products. The White Oak blended with Nicole’s designs seamlessly.
