Austin Proper Hotel
Austin Proper, ATX - Designed by Kelly Wearstler, Austin Proper is a beautifully eclectic hotel with the perfect nod to traditional design. Each space is filled with natural light, custom-designed hardwoods, and one-of-a-kind statement pieces. Our team worked with Wearstler to create a number of custom color finishes that are specifically designed to complement the hotel’s décor and personality.
Using hardwoods throughout the hotel adds depth to the space while creating a sense of warmth. From the two-toned parquet grid pattern in the lobby to the basket weave in Goldie’s Bar to the herringbone in Peacocks, custom parquet patterns take the hardwood floors in a unique and innovative direction.
The monolithic staircase is a particularly striking example of the craftsmanship that went into this project. Our entire team came together to perfect the construction of this stair - built entirely of North American White Oak. Virtually seamless from top to bottom - its smooth, uninterrupted surface gives this massive staircase a light and airy feel.
